At Cycle Edge, we stand behind the quality of our products and services. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty offerings, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other relevant South African laws.
Product Warranty
1.1. Cycle Edge warrants that all new bicycles, accessories, and components sold by us will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of:
* 2 years from date of purchase for bicycles and frames.
* 1 year from date of purchase for accessories and components.
1.2. Warranty coverage includes:
* Manufacturing defects.
* Material defects.
* Workmanship defects.
1.3. Warranty excludes:
* Normal wear and tear.
* Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accident.
* Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs.
* Damage caused by failure to follow manufacturer’s instructions.
Service Warranty
2.1. Cycle Edge warrants that all services performed by us, including repairs and maintenance, will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of:
* 6 months from date of completion.
2.2. Service warranty coverage includes:
* Labor defects.
* Parts defects (where parts are supplied by Cycle Edge).
2.3. Service warranty excludes:
* Normal wear and tear.
* Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accident.
* Damage caused by failure to follow recommended maintenance schedules.
Conditions for Warranty Validation
3.1. To validate your warranty, please ensure:
* You have purchased the product or service from Cycle Edge.
* You have retained your original receipt or proof of purchase.
* You have followed manufacturer’s instructions and recommended maintenance schedules.
* You have not modified or altered the product in any way.
Warranty Claim Procedure
4.1. To submit a warranty claim, please:
* Contact our customer service department within the warranty period.
* Provide proof of purchase and description of the issue.
* Return the product or provide access for inspection.
4.2. Cycle Edge reserves the right to inspect the product and determine the validity of the warranty claim.
Return and Refund Policy
5.1. If a product is found to be defective, Cycle Edge will:
* Repair or replace the product at no additional cost.
* Provide a refund or store credit, where repair or replacement is not possible.
5.2. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of warranty claim validation.
Disclaimer
6.1. Cycle Edge will not be liable for:
* Consequential damages or losses.
* Damages or losses arising from misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear.
* Damages or losses arising from failure to follow manufacturer’s instructions.
Governing Law
7.1. This Warranty Policy will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Changes to Warranty Policy
8.1. Cycle Edge reserves the right to modify this Warranty Policy at any time.
8.2. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
